shimmering chords come weaving down the waterway bridge
as the polar wind, restless, cast her breeze once-to-be new;

"safe at last!", i vainly hoped,
jaded as I were to the looming
cloaking trail
tiling each of my steps
no sight could ever decipher,
let alone my own
(devices of past earnest)

sifted in slate coal and neural decay garden dust,
spirals of the non-eternal unravel

"oh, how brittle the unshackled wings
and the blinded sun the winter night brings
to the low spirits of a moonstone in decline!"
and it never failed to give, for failure's sake.

but the years have gushed me through and then,
strumming oars and rows along the rifts:
now i no longer give in to what i was then,
lest i turn in haste against peridot skies,
